When Whitey Fisher began designing for Cincinnati clients more than 45 years ago, he may not have realized that the most enduring brand he would build would be his own. Fisher, along with partner Ed Steinau, opened the doors of Steinau-Fisher in 1958 in the Enquirer Building. Like most Cincinnati commercial art studios both then and now, Steinau-Fisher worked extensively with consumer products giant Procter & Gamble. Seeing success, the company set its horizons beyond the borders of Cincinnati. Bill Fisher, Whitey’s son, was named president in 1990, developed a national presence by diversifying Steinau-Fisher’s client offerings to include well known brands from the Dial Corporation, Colgate-Palmolive, Scotts, among others. In a period of 10 years, Fisher Design, Inc. more than tripled in size. |
