Since its inception in 1998, the activity level and outreach activities of Skills Canada NWT/NU have quickly evolved from the singular focus of participation in Territorial and National Skills Competitions, to a dynamic year round program that actively promotes careers in the skilled trades and technologies as first choice career options for northern youth. The many opportunities available to youth through Skills Canada NWT/NU are made possible through the support a dynamic partnership with government, industry and labour and a committed core of community volunteers. The support and leadership of an experienced, dedicated Board of Directors has been critical to the growth and success of Skills Canada NWT/NU as an organization. |
