Metech Pty Ltd, an Australian company, provides high level software services and support to the global mining industry, utilising MineSight and acQuire software technology.
Originating out of Perth, Western Australia, Metech was founded in 1980. In 1992, Mintec Inc, an American Affiliate, initiated the MineSight (formerly Medsystem) project. Metech has contributed in design, development and support of this product since this time.
Metech currently employs a team of 8 Research and Development professionals, 6 Geological Data Analysts for the implementation, training and support of acQuire clients, 5 Mining Systems Analysts for the implementation training and support of MineSight and acQuire in an Operation environment, and 6 sales and administration staff.
Metech has recently opened a regional support office in Santiago, Chile and will be opening an office in Calgary, Canada in February 2004.
In 1996, Metech initiated the acQuire software project with the first version released in 1998. acQuire is now considered the industry leading software for the storage of technical geologic data. Metech continues to dedicate 25% of annual revenue to the research and development of acQuire.

Metech would like to welcome our latest acQuire client Barrick Gold of Australia's Plutonic operation. The Plutonic mine, an open pit and underground operation, is part of the Yilgarn Group located in Western Australia, in the Plutonic Well Greenstone Belt.
acQuire will be implemented on site for resource development and underground operations in the coming months.

Metech is pleased to announce the expansion of our South American team and new offices, complete with training facilities,located in the World Trade Centre, Santiago Chile.

Metech now has a support office located in Brisbane, Australia. This office will provide support to acQuire clients located in eastern pacific timezones, adding an additional 2 hours per day to phone support.
Jared Armstrong, who has recently joined the Metech team in a GDA role, is based here and will be joined by 2 additional support staff later in 2005. MineSight support will also be available from this office in the near future.
